Romance in the Air
Picture
Emily Hoy began studying music at age six, but her love of music actually started at 2-1/2 years-old when she first saw Phantom of the Opera. She quickly learned the entire score of the musical and has been singing ever since!

Emily began playing piano but quickly switched to her present passion, which is voice. Miss Hoy has studied with multiple coaches, but has been with Kacie Wooster for the last six years. Miss Hoy is currently singing in the Brighton High School Bel Canto Choir and Concert Choir under the direction of Phil Johnson. She has participated in MSVMA Solo and Ensemble competitions on both the regional and state levels and participated in exclusive MSVMA voice clinics. Emily also participates and belongs to “Michigan Opera Teens” at the Detroit Opera House.
Miss Hoy enjoys singing in foreign languages and is partial to Opera and Classical music. She will be graduating from Brighton High School in June, 2020, and is looking forward to studying music in college.
